Police Athletic League (PAL) of NY
The Police Athletic League (PAL) is New York City's largest, nonprofit, independent youth organization. Founded in 1914, PAL serves 70,000 New York City boys and girls each year with recreational, educational, cultural and social programs. PAL is the official youth agency of the New York Police Department. PAL's mission is to keep young people out of trouble by channeling their energies into recreational and athletic programs.
For more than 90 years, PAL programs have expanded to meet the new challenges faced by inner-city youth.
FitWize4Kids™
CIOF and Fitwize 4 Kids™ are united under the common goal of giving today's generation of children a healthier and brighter future. Fitwize 4 Kids™ is an innovative concept that combines resistance circuit training with a world-class nutrition curriculum specifically designed for kids between the ages of 6 1/2 to 15 yrs. Energetic Fitwize 4 Kids™ coaches train, motivate and assist kids throughout a 45-minutes, low intensity resistance and cardiovascular training program on equipment made just for kids. Our fitness program is complimented with a dynamic nutrition curriculum designed and implemented by Registered Dietitians. The Fitwize approach to teaching nutrition is simple and fun, using hands-on creative ways to stress the importance of healthy eating. Interactive nutrition workshops and resources are provided for parents and their children, encouraging families to work together in creating a healthy home. As the nation's largest and fastest growing healthy lifestyle center just for kids, Fitwize 4 Kids is a leader in improving children's lives so they can grow to become healthy adults. |
