FITNESS AND NUTRITION PROGRAMS

CIOF will seek co-sponsorship subsidies from fitness facilities, health clubs, distributors of nutritional supplements, developers of dietary protocols, therapists of various modalities and other parties with an interest in ethical self-promotion to host events, seminars, programs and offer membership and purchase discounts to persons who are interested in weight control and an improved quality of health.

ADVOCACY ACTIVITIES

While not being a lobbying group or a Political Action Committee, CIOF will strive to communicate the severity of the childhood obesity epidemic, and the need for it to be addressed seriously and immediately, to the insurance industry, to governmental agencies, to schools and to employers. There should be incentives for weight control, and inexpensive and intensive treatment for those suffering great peril by virtue of their obesity in school or in the workplace.

INFORMATION AND RESOURCE UPDATES

CIOF will provide the world’s most powerful and informative interactive public resource on everything relating to childhood obesity and overweight through its website. It is our objective to continuously upgrade the website in every aspect of its utility so that it can provide the greatest, most current informational and educational resources and actual, real-time, “hands on” support services to an ever-increasing population of visitors, many of whom are children themselves - pre-adolescents and teenagers struggling with the serious issues of obesity - as well as a concerned public, scientific researchers, social services and healthcare professionals, corporate and individual philanthropists and other concerned people. Knowledge is power, but the promulgation and sharing of that knowledge initiates productivity.
