Funding Research

The Foundation will aggressively fund research into the underlying causalities of obesity. These includes genetic predispositions, biochemical and physiological factors, and environmental influences as well as nutrition, exercise, and physical fitness issues stemming from an increasingly sedentary lifestyle. We will utilize contributions to pay for targeted programs and other assistance.

Developing Procedures

We will accelerate research on emerging technologies including the development of minimally-invasive bariatric procedures and other medical interventions. We will support the creation of dietary, exercise and fitness protocols, sponsor pharmacological trials and breakthroughs, and proactively address the physiological, epistemological, emotional and societal implications of childhood obesity.

Subsidizing Programs

The Foundation will intervene in life-threatening individual situations, subsidizing treatment where the affected families are without the economic means to receive help. We will work with government agencies, insurance companies, healthcare providers, fitness and nutrition experts and social workers to make certain that proper care, counseling and treatment become more readily understood, acceptable, and available.

Increasing Awareness

We will provide a news medium to inform and educate the public about the severity and implications of the obesity epidemic. Increased public awareness and understanding is a key component of our philosophy. Likewise, offering support to our ultimate clients, the children themselves, is crucial.

Providing Support

We will never forget that we’re dealing with living, feeling children, as well as addressing the conditions of overweight and obesity. We will host interactive internet forums where affected children receive encouragement and compassionate peer support. We will provide hotline support, online communities and expert consultation access. Additionally, we must open a vigorous dialogue with parents, educators and others who exert a significant influence over our children.

The Foundation seeks to unite all of the concerned parties in an atmosphere of cooperation, and in the spirit of fighting a common enemy on a multitude of fronts. We are prepared to meet the challenge. With your help, we will succeed.
